Surgicare Center, our outpatient satellite surgery center, consistently garners high patient satisfaction ratings for its patient-friendly approach and convenience, especially for people with restricted mobility. Located on the Convenient Care Campus on Warren Road in Ithaca, Surgicare makes it easier for many people in Tompkins County and the region to have routine outpatient surgery nearer to where they live and work.

The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the provision of direct patient care as assigned. The Registered Nurse in Pre & Recovery will care of pre and post -operative patients at Surgicare but will be cross trained for the Main Campus as well. This is a daytime position.

The responsibilities will also include the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational and spiritual needs. This is a daytime position.

Employment Criteria

1. Possession of current NYS Registered Nursing license.
2. Possession of Associates Degree in Nursing.
3. Strong oral and written communication skills.
4. Ability to move and lift patients with assistance.
5. Previous Medical/Surgical nursing experience
